The concept of “Quality of Electrical Energy” is an essential subject that has evolved in the last decade on worldwide scale, is related to the disturbances that can affect the electric conditions of the supply and cause malfunction or damage of the equipment and processes.

Automatizacion Avanzada S.A. provides products and solutions for the electrical sector, design, supply, tests and commissioning of the power quality System (PQS) for the substation, including the hardware and the local software necessary to comply with the Colombian resolution, CREG024 of 2005 for power quality, either in average and high voltage substations or in distribution systems. The data of supply quality are imported from data acquisition units installed in the substation or posts, to computers where it is possible to evaluate them in real time by means of analysis software.

HYDROELECTRIC AND THERMAL POWER STATIONS

Our solution increases the reliability in the provision of the generation services , improving the security and the equipment integrity, allows to have the sufficient and necessary information (historical) with the required quality for the decision making (Alarms, SOE, Monitoring, Control).

Automation system

We count on with supply experience, assembly supervision and commissioning of hydroelectric and thermal power stations, with capacity to offer robust and optimal solutions for the control of generation units; besides of advanced technology in equipment hubs, gateways and designed controllers to operate in the electrical sector.

The system is automated and consists of one or more data acquisition equipment, which can be remote units (RTU) or IEDS; these equipments read the variables of interest of the process and generate predetermined actions on the process equipments. The relevant information is transmitted by means of a physical pair, radio links, optical fiber, micro wave links, or another media, to a central system. The central system is composed of computers plus a local area network, in which software of SCADA application is installed. This system is the one responsible of administer the information and of supporting the operator in the control of the process.

The SCADA solutions are acquisition systems, storage and processing of data and information in real time, associated to variables that affect productive processes, related to the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, as much in the service companies (utilities), as in the industry. The solution includes systems that are located in confined or geographically extensive areas. The technologies come from recognized manufacturers with prestige in the world wide market.

Energy measurement system

Automatizacion Avanzada S.A. provides products and solutions for the evaluation of the power supply, either in hydro electrical or thermal centrals.
